Monday 24th October

We have been DESPERATE to do a winter styled shoot after doing soo many summer ones!

Finally we managed to find the most perfect venue – Farnham Castle! Wow – if your looking for a grand but still somewhat understated venue without the feel of formality then this is your venue!

The weather could not be any more perfect for our winter shoot! We did look into a snow machine but unfortunately our search was unsuccessful! I know Jennifer will work her magic in post production and a few snowflakes may appear! Eek!

When I arrived at the Gate House I saw the most beautiful breathtaking flowers which couldn’t fit in more perfectly if we tried! Lily and Myrtle took the brief and made it a reality. Stunning flower crowns and the 2 most wintery looking bouquets. There was even snow sprayed onto some of the pine cones giving it such a lovely frosty feel.

The dress was from Sass and Grace and as usual it was beautiful!

Delicate detailing of crystals gave it the perfect winter feel and the stunning lace train finished off the look perfectly.

For the makeup we decided to go for warm orange/red undertone smokey eye so we were in keeping with the AW16 trends/colours. We kept the lips neutral by using an apricot/nude liner with some clear balm over the top.

The skin was kept dewy using lots of highlight to pick up on the high points of the face, using our new GLOW KIT from Anastasia Beverley hills. We prepped the skin with Strobe cream from MAC.

Hair styling was kept fairly simple so not to distract from the overall look.

Mathilda had a understated low chignon with some volume on top and Geena had a sleek vintage wave pulled round to one side.

The look was then finished off by styling from Jewellery expert Helen from Stella and Dot! Some beautiful items were added to give some extra glam!

What a beautiful day for another styled shoot!

The brief for the first look of the shoot was “Contemporary with a hint of vintage” so we decided on a half up half down hairstyle.

We used “Loreal” Techni-art PLI to prep the hair, curled with “GHD’s” and then set with “Loreal” infinium hairspray.

“Surrey Brides” had provided us with a couple of gorgeous hair pieces so we decided that the super gorgeous vine should pair with this classic and timeless hairstyle, it finished the look off beautifully.

Our student, Cat, (whos AH-MAZING by the way) used the following products for the makeup on the first look.

Base – MAC Strobe cream, Makeup forever HD foundation, Makeup forever HD loose translucent powder. MAC pro longwear concealer

Blush – MAC – style

Highlight/Contour – Anastasia Beverley Hills contour kit and glow kit in sundipped.

Brows – Morphe brow palette

Eyeshadow – NYX milk stick, makeup geek (Taboo/Americano/Confection/Sorbet/Vintage)

Mascara – Benefit – theyre real

Lashes – Vegas Nay by Eyelure

Lips – Charlotte tilbury “Penelope pink”, MAC “twig”

Highight – YSL touche clait.

Cat went for a beautiful cut crease socket line eye with a precise and sharp extended liner, dewy skin to give a sunkissed glow. She paired this with a nude matte lip. Kristinas face is a makeup artists dream!

Jennifer always takes the most stunning photos and today was no exception! Wow – what a venue for a styled shoot! Gorgeous grounds and so many photo opportunities!

For the 2nd look of the day we had a “Classic English Wedding” brief so Kristina changed dresses into a beautiful beaded gown with capped shoulder sleeves.

Cat chose to smoke up the eye makeup using some more “makeup geek” eyeshadows in shade “Americano”. She also wanted to add a bit of glamour by adding some shimmer with “Kevyn Aucoin’s glitter. The lips we muted down and added some gloss on top.

Gemma from Little Star events organised this shoot for Foxhills to use as promotional and marketing material as well as us suppliers to gain some more of Jennifer’s beautiful photos!

Here are some of our favourite pictures from the shoot!
